Good school
Overall 4.6
Great faculty who really does care about the success and lives of their students outside of class, hard to find in many other universities especially for the size.
Overall 4.5
Overall, an amazing school. I am proud to call the campus home. Great options for living on or off campus. The residence halls are okay, but the on-campus apartments are phenomenal.
Overall 4.5
UMKC offers a variety of organizations and clubs on campus. My favorite thing about UMKC is that the campus environment is very welcoming and supportive. The professors and staff really care about the success of their students. There are a lot of academic, financial, and health oriented resources available!
Overall 4.4
I am going to UMKC for Accounting. I have enjoyed my time here immensely and will be sad when I leave, but I am looking forward to seeing how the university changes itself in the future.
Overall 4.3
I loved my time there! I was a 6 year BA/MD student and the clinical exposure from my first year on was amazing and well rounded.
Overall 4.3
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here as a student. I continued to make genuine connection with my professors and staff members daily. I would encourage any new student to become involved with clubs or organizations that are important to you and UMKC will feel like home. Professors and faculty truly care about their students; this school phenomenal.
Bad reviews

Went to the engineering school and found out later it is one of the worst in the country. Most employers will not look at a UMKC grad. They only teach about half of the subjects on the FE/PE exams. They only teach outdated software that the industry hasn't used in decades. They lie about the employment stats and salaries of their grads.

this is school is god awful. do NOT come here. there is no social life and everyone here only cares about themselves. i wish I wouldn't have set foot on this campus. the dorms suck also
Overall 1.5
it's incredibly hard to get involved on this campus. Classes aren't awful ( though definitely not the best either), but the energy here is just sad.
Overall 1.6
Overall, regret coming to this University.
Overall 1.8
Worst school I've ever been to. I'm a CS student & this department is a mess. Excluding 1 professor, every CS teacher has been incredibly inept, poorly prepared, & are poor teachers. Many of them are students themselves w/ 1 professor in particular has losing all assignments, not even knowing the topic hes to teach. I could go on but no space left.
Overall 1.9
Honestly, why did I come here... :
Overall 2
No cheap food on campus, and the fresh food that is available is only on one side of campus unless you pay $8 for the dining hall. There is no sense of community on campus. No campus wide traditions. I've been a student elsewhere. UMKC is a disappointment.
