Great school. Would recommend overall.

I am from out of state and chose UNR because I enjoy mountains and lakes. I was NOT disappointed! Great environment and friendly people. Hardly any politics in and around campus which I appreciate! I made many friends and our casino nights were epic! I highly recommend this university! I can definitely say I got a quality education.

awesome place to go to school.
Overall 4.7
Great Campus, great city, really good professors, great dorms, students are friendly. Wish I could have spent another 4 years here.
Overall 4.6
overall great school, downtown reno is just a bit sketchy
Overall 4.6
I have loved being at UNR it has great opportunities yet is a smaller school so it is easier to take advantage of their opportunities. Has a great social life and many great resources such as the gym and student union.
Bad reviews

Do not go to this school if you need any help or assistance. They'll take your money, expect you teach yourself, and refuse the help you begged for. They'll add stress and financial burden onto you because they are in the business of taking your money.
Overall 1
I tried out an online masters at UNR. The professors suck, no grants or scholarships, expensive, mandatory two year commitment (no way around it) for ten classes, lectures so boring I'd rather stare at a blank wall.
Overall 1.4
UNR is honeslty the biggest disappointment when it comes to College. Staff are miserable, programs are not helpful towards your degree, parking is so expensive for poorly lit unguarded parking lots. During Covid classes were moved solely online yet tuition was increased. If you want to attend college in Nevada, I'd attend UNLV before UNR.
Overall 1.5
UNR is more concerned about getting tuition paid than giving a good education. I have completed both undergraduate and graduate studies at UNR, and every semester there has been a issue with my financial aid and tuition, and no ownership from UNR staff to fix the issue. Issues are also reflected in academic staff, who often take weeks to respond.
Overall 1.5
If you can go somewhere else, go somewhere else.
Overall 1.6
UNR is a dump, Reno is the worst city ever. Don't go here
Overall 1.7
Unr is the worst place you could choose to go. They will charge you an arm and a leg for classes, even when they are ALL online. Why should I have to pay fees for things I can only take advantage of on campus, when I will not be on campus (which isn't even my CHOICE). The president of this school is corrupt and worthless.
Overall 1.8
I only came here because it was the cheapest option for me. The business program is okay, but not challenging enough. You can only have fun if you have money and a car. There are limited food and housing options. Transferring out. If you are a minority, you won't feel welcome.
Overall 1.8
Not a great school if you want to work towards a better future that changes you.
Overall 2
Not the best campus. There's little diversity and social events have low attendence and engagement. Being close to downtown Reno, it's also not the safest campus. Theres been a lot of issues with it being an open campus and potentially dangerous strangers hanging out in the buildings.
