USA offers so many opportunities to its students. You will get out whatever you put in to it. There are so many organizations on campus for students to be apart of. Most professors want to see their students succeed. Students pursing medical careers have so many opportunities with the USA Health system, Business students have MCOB, and etc!

If you just want to focus on getting a business or nursing degree then graduate, go here. Otherwise I suggest you look around more.
Overall 1.7
The campus is very nice, very clean, but some departments needs to have people willing to help students. One of the worst department South Alabama has is Chemistry. They use intimidation when you ask for revision, they are very careless. They only there to make money from the students.
Overall 1.8
Most attend this university with the idea of living on the beach, getting tan, and having a good time. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Mobile as a whole is crime ridden, and most people who live here are unpleasant to say the least. The campus is fine, the teachers not so much. South probably has one of the worst Chemistry Departments, btw.
Overall 1.8
Cafeteria is disgusting, Greek life is horrible. No cameras on campus, most crimes dont get forwarded to external police. Everything is hidden from students/ their families. Sex offenders on campus (I would know, one is from my hometown). Nooses on campus a few years ago. Dont get locked out of dorm after 5, youll have to pay to get back into it
Overall 1.8
If you're not in greek life, there is no social aspect at all. It is a commuter school and campus is dead. In the 1 place to hangout in there's at most 40 students at a given time. Very few clubs with very low attendance. Some parts of campus are old and need renovation. Cafeteria is awful, just the worst. Felt I was robbed of the college experienc

Not the best school
Overall 1.9
South's humidity!! made me switch my classes to online bc i hated walking to class and being drenched in sweat everyday. Not a party school, the caf is bad, gym is nice!, I think bc of its size/priority of athletics you may not feel valued as a student vs going to a bigger school with more money? Student activities and events are low funded.
Overall 1.9
South is sad and im transferring :( dont waste your money.
Overall 2
This is the best college if you want to graduate in 6 years for a 4 year degree. I was lied to over and over again by the faculty here until I saw they forced classes you dont need down your throat. I came here to save money but they lie to you to keep you longer as tuiton goes up. 1/10 would not reccomend unless you hate yourself.
