Overall 4.6
Great school for sports, social life and food.
Overall 4.6
This is a great school. The professors are fair, honest people that honestly care about the students. Most professors go out of their way to help students. In my experience, if one does not like USC Upstate, it is because the student has a bad attitude.
Overall 4.5
Solid place, put in the work and you will be fine
Overall 4.4
The exterior of the campus is beautiful! The library is definitely my home away from home! The teachers are welcoming. They're not there just to show off their title, but there to actually teach, if you know what I mean. I am proud to be a Spartan.
Overall 4.4
Great opportunities at an affordable tuition rate. Business building is phenomenal.
Overall 4.3
What a hidden gem of a school.
Overall 4.2
It's actually super chill, they have a bunch of restaurants and comfy study space.
Overall 4.2
USC Upstate is an awesome school. You get what you put in. Get involved and you will love it! Most of the teachers are great but there are a few that are just awful. The food sucks but so does almost every other college. I love the small class sizes and campus. You wont regret coming here as long as you come with an open mind
Overall 4.2
Proud to be an Upstate Alumni!!! Great School! Great Teachers! Great Students! Great Campus

Avoid this university if at all possible. Nothing but students who couldn't get accepted into other SC schools. Just the worst, spoiled, entitlement-oriented students who are only interested in a jolly social life vs. a legitimate education. Just a joke of a student body, which says a lot about who is accepted into this so called university.

Genuinely the root of my depression. Just a couple things -being charged an extra $100 fee each semester because I chose exercise and sports science major (no idea why) -advisor telling me I need to drop out -my chemistry professor telling me I’m not Intelligent enough for him to help me - zero security -multiple shootings each semester. Etc
Overall 1.2
Unless you want to possibly get shot or catch a disease from cockroaches don’t go here! This place has so many issues that Upstate never addresses. They are money hungry and will charge you over the tiniest thing they find wrong. If you love the smell of weed this campus is perfect for you and there are even more people who smoke it so have fun.
Overall 1.3
This place is just boring. Theres nothing going on here. Except sometimes someone gets shot in the on-campus apartments, then no one talks about it. No social life here at all. I never see people just hanging out on campus. No one ever talks about clubs to join. People always look like theyre ready to die. I only went here because its cheap.
Overall 1.4
Business school is way out of the way and takes a long time to drive to. And now business school has a new class they made up this year it costs more money and business students graduate with more than the 120 hours. And you have to pay for meals although there is no cafeteria there.
Overall 1.4
I had to transfer from another school because of money and family. I hate this place . I walked into the office when i was accepted and said hi i just transferred here can you help me with.... They laughed at me and said good luck. I should have left immediately. The teachers & staff are awful, housing awful, life is awful here.
Overall 1.4
Freshmen required to read book on homosexuality and attend films promoting gay life choices. It is a difficult and uncomfortable environment if ur straight and or Christian. I don't understand while it is all required for points and grades instead of being optional.
Overall 1.4
Administration process took forever, no one informed what you had to do next, some of the staff as well as other university employees don't care about their students, as soon as your enrolled, forget about any other future help. Don't go here. They do not appreciate your customer service!
Overall 1.4
really don't because like the comment below I couldn't get through admission process. They were rude and never called me back. I was treated like I was stupid if I didn't have a piece of paper they needed.
Overall 1.4
I attended for a year before transferring to U Miami. If you're there on the GI Bill STOP! Go somewhere else!
