Overall 4.9
Amazing resources for students as well as a beautiful rural campus. An affordable college that offers the full student experience.
Overall 4.9
Love the place! Soon to be on the radar for lots of students to come to because of the division 1 jump with new academic facilities and athletic facilities being built.
Overall 4.8
Great school and staff. The faculty try hard and care about each Student. Safe environment.

USI is a great school.

I absolutely love it here, I never feel alone or unsupported by the staff and community USI offers. The food selection is great, the facilities are so nice and they are constantly adding more and updating!
Overall 4.6
USI is a great and relatively affordable campus. Professors are very caring, and helpful to students. Great facilities and always expanding/renovating! Definitely recommend if in southern Indiana!

Love my experience at USI
Overall 4.6
If you are from a big high school then this school will feel small but comfortable. If you are not from a big high school then this school seems huge! If you are interested in greenery and nature than this campus is perfect for you. If you enjoy the city life than this campus is perfect for you with downtown Evansville being a quick drive away.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.3
People are terrible here and if you want a safe school don't come to this one. A guy in my dorm my freshman year was stalking a girl and had a literal kill list and when they searched his room they found weapons which USI did NOT report on. The only people who even know about it lived in my same dorm. I wish I had more space to review this school.
Overall 1.3
Save your money. Probably got a better education in high school.
Overall 1.5
The apartments were not worth the money and most of the time maintenance never even fixed things. Housing was awful to deal with and the majority of the RAs are not much help. A select few good professors there but the majority made it not worth even going to class. The cstore was far from convenient. Seems like all they care about is the new pac.
Overall 1.5
Would never recommend usi. Stay home and use youtube for your education
Overall 1.6
USI absolutely does NOT care about some of their athletes. They really pick and choose who they want to help and who they dont. It was one of the most disappointing experiences in my life. Youd be better off choosing another school period. USI tries so hard to milk you for money and the advisors set you up to make you stay extra semesters.
Overall 1.8
I chose this school for the closeness to my hometown and the affordability. For two years I was racially harassed on campus and called slurs and threatened. I informed the dedicated officials every time and nothing was every done until I threatened to harm myself. Even then, nobody was punished, instead I was moved to other housing. Not safe
Overall 1.8
Worse decision I ever made was going to the school
Overall 1.9
USI is a good choice if you're looking for a budget education. But if you want anything more than that you've got the wrong place. The environment is utterly stale and provides no space for social or recreational activities. You will not make friends, you will not have fun things to do, you will NOT have a legitimate college experience.
Overall 2
If your planning on attending this school for a stem degree, I would look elsewhere. They don't have the resources to ensure you complete all the classes to graduate in four years. I was supposed to graduate in spring of 2021, but ill be lucky if I graduate in 2022 as the classes are too small for all of their stem undergrads.
Overall 2
Some of your professors are great and some of them not so much. The faculty are so rude, if you ask the faculty here a question they act like you are inconveniencing them when you ask, then they just tell you to go talk to someone else. I thought the new president might teach the staff how to treat students. Paying too much to be treated this way.
