AMAZING SCHOOL, WITH AMAZING PEOPLE, AND THE MOUNTAINS FROM THE HILL ON THE SCHOOL ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Love the school, some programs not that great

Personally I love this university. It is just the right size and has a beautiful campus. The surrounding area is not as safe, however, if you are smart you can easily stay in a secure location (as in don’t walk alone at like 3am). I got very lucky with my department professors as well. Overall, I highly suggest trying this university.

UTC is a wonderful school and I am so glad I transferred here! If you are pre-med or pre-health, there is so many opportunities offered due to the amount of large local hospitals. Chattanooga is a dream city to live in. It's safe and there are plenty of things to keep you busy! 10/10 would recommend.

The campus is nice and has several improvements being made to make it even better. Parking is not great. If you want general parking you better get there early. The professors are mostly good, but we had to switch from our advisor in the department to one in the Hub. That was a negative experience for me, but I enjoy UTC otherwise.

Love everything about it
Bad reviews

Nothing to do, very dangerous, food is garbage, people suck, nothing good about this school do not go.
Overall 1.4
parking is the worse , one of the committees are students and they have no self empathy for others in campus when it comes to a silly ticket . girls always get away with it then guy so do not even try to appeal it.
Overall 1.5
Pay so much just for opportunities to be gate-kept from students, purposely involve the dean to gate-keep resources students need in order to succeed, inadequate unprofessional professors who cant even teach. I GET IT professors job is to profess but we pay to learn and get better network so they need to do better instead of gaslighting students.
Overall 1.6
The area can be pretty unsafe, especially for women. The on-campus housing is horrible. Most professors don't care about your well-being or if you even pass the class. They also don't know how to teach. Inside of buildings in certain rooms is disgusting. Parking is impossible, be prepared to walk miles and feel unsafe while doing it.
Overall 1.7
Terrible parking, gross food, and below-average professors. Too many professors are outside hires and have no actual passion for what they are teaching. If you want to start your college career at Chatt, go ahead. But I wouldnt stay once you get to your junior year.
Overall 1.7
This school is terrible at incorporating freshman into the college. The location is pretty inconvenient and requires you to drive, which makes you lose your hard-to-find parking space. The food is mediocre, the opportunities are weak, the crime is frequent, the clubs are minimal, the emails are clunky, and the school is total mess, but good wifi
Overall 1.9
As a non-traditional college student, I feel like an alien on campus. I'm in my late twenties with children, but I may as well be an octogenarian to the faculty and staff here. There are zero resources for women of my age, for parents, for first generation college students, etc. Would have gone just about anywhere else if I had the means.

So, I actually left UTC primarily because of one of the advisors there, but they've already got a review on here from me. Overall, UTC is okay. It's not the greatest, but it's not the worst. You'll find a few really fantastic professors that make the classes worth it, but you've got to really search for them. If graded on a 1-10 scale: 5.
Overall 1.9
It is pretty boring here. Cars get stolen and broken into here a lot. Chatt is beautiful but the campus is below average. There isn't much of a party scene.
Overall 2
This is a great school... If you are a jock. If you aren't on a sports team or getting a 4.0 GPA without a struggle, they don't care about you. They say they support LGBT and people with disabilities to make them look good, but they really don't. It is a fine area to walk around, as long as you are not alone. Online courses are okay though.
