The ACA program was excellent, the teachers were all Awsome specially Jesse Schmidt, those comments saying other wise come from ACA 03 a class that complained about everything from day 1, they didn't go to class they complained about the work and demoralized everyone, they are a bitter group of people who ruined their own experience

I have learned so much from my year at VFS! Yes its a very intense course but you learn a lot from it. After school I found PA jobs and I quickly moved up to a higher position. My friends that went to UCLA and other big schools that I met while I was a PA are still doing PA jobs. So in my opinion taking a program at VFS was totally worth it.

Good school with awesome teachers. :) Keycard entry so there's no danger.

The teachers are awesome people, all kind and good guys, not very helpful under stress situations, the TA's sometimes are better than the teachers. Dont waste your money and go to real school. btw the employment rate is low in all the programs less 3D slaves.

I graduated with an 80% avg and could have learned it all from a magazine article. Some teachers are very helpful, most tought b/c they couldn't find work in the film industry. I RECOMMEND UNIVERSITY.. take the 3/4 years and do something positive with the $$$.
Overall 1.7
Save your money for something else. The teachers are unenthusiastic and incompetent. Go somewhere and get a real degree at least that will help you get more opportunites. The school has a good reputation outside of Canada, but in North America everyone knows its a joke.

i decided to do the ACA program. I loved art and drawing and would proudly show my work. As soon as i joined this program, everything changed. The teachers would demoralize and make fun and horrid remarks and made me feel so bad about skills that I stopped doing art all together. Thanks VFS!

If I could give "social" a 0, I would. If you want to sacrifice an entire year of your life and go off grid from your friends back home, this place is for you. Otherwise, if you actually enjoy a semi-decent social life, go to college/university. About 95% of students are asocial, and being a natural extrovert is DREADFUL. Otherwise, good programs.

dont waste your time on the Animation Concept Art.. you can learn everything on youtube. Plus the teachers especially Jesse Schmidt is unprofessional and very uninspirational to learn from
Overall 1.9
Animation Concept Art is one of the worst programs in the school. Jesse Schmidt isn't all he is makes himself to be. Honestly Capilano or Emily Carr is a better choice and cheaper too
Overall 1.9
Graduated in February and all I can say Animation Concept Art is one of the worst programs to sign up for. The teachers are awful and discouraging. Jesse Schmidt was awful!
