VASSAR STAYS WINNING. Serving top education even during a pandemic. Great choice coming here.

Before graduating from Vassar (econ major), I was really worried about getting a job because of how small the school is. One year into my work, I can't tell you how wrong I was. People are always really impressed by Vassar, and I've met very few people in NYC that don't automatically know what Vassar is. That's incredible for a such a small school

Current students are lucky that they have the new Deece. The food is 100 times better now. Generally speaking, I liked Vassar a lot and made life long friends here. If you're a prospective student, I highly recommend applying. Despite what people say, you DON'T need to be gay or ultra liberal to have a fun time. It's a great school.

Poughkeepsie is definitely not as bad as people make it sound. Its very close to nyc and has nice parks, trails, etc that you can explore. For those from warmer places worried about the weather, I personally find it quite nice. While we are technically upstate, its still warmer than most of new england. Plus, the hudson valley is post card pretty

Vassar students are in their own bubbles disregarding anything outside their own little worlds. I'm a liberal democrat and I've frequently been called conservative because I don't agree with their specific policy viewpoints. Location is horrible, food is horrible, and partys are as well. That aside the professors are generally high quality.

I had to leave this island of misfit toys; it was just too gross, eccentric, and boring. A lot of people in my grade ended up transferring out as well. And don't be fooled by the Bon Appetit catering. It's garbage. I recommend Lolita's or Mill House if you want real food!! Oh and nobody outside of the area has heard of it!

I wish I had gone somewhere else. Vassar is not for everyone and can feel very isolating because of its boarding school-like, cliquey atmosphere. It serves the interests of wealthy liberal snobs but the school is becoming increasingly more conservative. The campus is beautiful in the spring and fall. My experience overall was disappointing.
