I received my Associates with Vincennes satellite at the Newport Oregon USCG Station. I had learned a lot and enjoyed it from a great professor Dr. Robert Smith.

love it

A great place to get an education. A small town attitude and everybody is kind. Professors know your name and never have any problems.

My name is Shawn Marion. I fully beleive that my world championship basketball title is directly achieved from attending Vincennes University. they have an outstanding athletics program. i would not be the legend i am know without VU. Long Live The Blazers.
Overall 4.5
I attended Vincennes University. Although I was only there breifly, it gave me the education I needed to become a worldwide music sensation. sincerely, John "Cougar" Mellencamp.

what is not to love about Indiana's first college? the education, the class sizes, the personal connection with your teachers. People often complain about the grounds. but, given the little funding they have, they do a miraculous job. it awlays looks beautiful. there is also an abundance of wildlife, ranging from squirrels to rabbits.GO BLAZERS!!!!
Overall 4.5
Vincennes University absolutely holds up as Indiana's first college. It has an amazing overall quality. The campus grounds look stellar all year round. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The education is first class. the teachers care about your issues and will go out of their way to help you create a productive future for yourself.

this school is probably the worst college ive visited for all other categories other than price learning and its professors anything other than those kind of sucks
Overall 1.6
Mediocre school with below average Professors. Approximately 3 out of 10 truly want to help students succeed and care about their class. The rest apparently just there to collect a paycheck.
Overall 1.6
Vincennes University is terrible, without the dining hall there is nothing on campus that is even a little enjoyable. Also, the two comments above me I believe to be 100% fraudulent. John Mellencamp and Shawn Marion didn't both rate VU in the same day on this site, ignore everything said in those posts. I feel bad for anyone attending VU.
Overall 1.7
Good place to save money before transferring else where, otherwise don't waste your time. Most associate degrees are worthless. Only reason to go is for nursing or general studies.
Overall 1.8
Distance learning has left much to be desired. "ALL STUDENTS will have access to their courses 7 DAYS prior to the course start date." Unfortunately, that has NOT been the case. The distance learning office is going to "fix" the problem, by DELETING the early access statement on Blackboard instead of getting professors to follow school policy.

meh

Had I known that the stores and restaurants were not within walking distance, I would not have come here. The residents halls are boring and prison like, some buildings really need some remolding and upgrading as well. The content of the courses are awesome though. Broadcasting (Electronic Media) is one of the best majors here.

It's alright.

The location is bad. By this, I'm speaking of the town. It's very poor.

Eh...Nice class sizes but I'd say the graduation rate is fairly low. There isn't much to do and the area is a bit rough. If you live on campus Clark Hall is the only way to go!
