VCU is pretty cool.
Overall 5
Proud to be a RAM.
Overall 4.6
Attending VCU is all about what you make it. You can get anything out of it that you want. Be involved, be social, and you will love it. Keep in mind that it is a city campus, if that's your vibe then you will succeed. A lot more opportunities here than in other places.
Overall 4.6
VCU is what you make it. There is a lot it has to offer but if all you do is complain about what it doesn't then you will not have a good time here.
Overall 4.6
Yeah I love this place. So glad I transferred.
Overall 4.5
I love VCU. I am so proud of being this college student. As an international student, there is so barely getting scholarships, but VCU give us many chance! Really good place and easy to learn English, everybody is kind and professor is so gentle.
Overall 4.5
The campus is nice and since it is in the city there is a lot of things to do here! There is good food choices around campus !
Overall 4.4
VCU is a great school overall. It's really about how you connect with the urban location. There's plenty of arts, music, and outdoor things to do with good nightlife. However, it's a city. An old city there. There are some sketchy areas and typical problems a college integrated into the city will face; parking, traffic, and crime.
Overall 4.4
Really great school in the middle of the city. The only downside is the safety. Always be wary and do not go out alone at night.
Overall 4.4
I really love VCU and have a lot of fun here. My advice is to find the beauty in the campus and not the city. We are unlike most universities where we are in the middle of a major city so you have to thing of how pretty it is here in a different way than others.

soooo bad literally sucks i regret
Overall 1.3
Don't waste your time, risk your safety (physical and mental health) going to this school. Richmond is full of gangs and tagged buildings, I had never wanted a CCP as bad as I did while attending. If your political, religious or ethical beliefs do not align with the college and/or professors you will feel it from the streets to your grades.
Overall 1.5
Not accommodating to restrictions
Overall 1.7
The business school + the information systems department has very low quality professors - you will encounter a large amount of inflated egos among your professors, to the point where you will breathe a sigh of relief upon realizing you lucked out and got a professor who is just a graduate student (no ego yet). Hybrid courses can be 95% in person.
Overall 1.9
If you are going for Kinetic Imaging, I would not recommend it. The department is very small and underfunded. The buildings used are outdated and need a lot of work. Most professors don't critique well. The department mainly revolves around animation. Registering for classes each semester is awful because there aren't a lot of slots.
