VSU fostered my care for education in a manner that changed my life. I was afforded the opportunity to re-learn the world through the strength of my ancestors laborious (physical and intellectual) agenda. I worked with DSA, VSU-NAACP, served on royal court, graduated with honors. I have been employed in my field of study since 2015. I LOVE MY VSU.

VSU as of 2020 is a great school and one of the best HBCU. It's student body a times feel too entitled (generation thing). The education is awesome for the price, plus they have many resource and even more than some bigger colleges have. The new Admin. awesome especially the president. It's honestly what you make it. Don't believe the haters!!!

Disappointing to say the least. The atmosphere is so depressing and the control of the professors over the students is little to none.

School is in a poor location, need a car to go anywhere. Very few people actually take classes seriously. Very few departments are actually good. Little diversity. People are not that easily to get along with. Not highly recommended.

If I could time travel to the day I decided to come here, I would go back to slap myself in the face. I wouldn't recommend this VSU to a puppy. Professors are NASTY (attitude) & OLD. It needs an entire makeover from the faculty to the campus grounds. The music department use to have a good rep but now it just sucks! Musicians beware! Save yourself!

Waste of money for out of state students in the field of communication. The degree is not valued in the industry. The work is elementary no challenge. You are paying for nothing.
