I've been coming here a lot for the past 15 years for CE credits and have always had a good experience. If something is wrong, advocate for yourself or contact your dean.
Overall 4.3
Both staff and prof.'s are incredibly nice and caring! They are there to help you! College is HARD, and they understand that. They have so many things in place to help you if you're struggling whether it be about your personal, academic, or work life. Don't be scared to reach out to both the staff and your prof. I promise, they WANT to help you :)
Overall 4.3
VWCC offers a lot and has the most up-to-date resources available. Very impressive for a community college. My only request would be to have more food court options because I am on campus every week day for long hours.
Overall 4.3
This is easily the best community college in the state. The teachers are amazing, and frankly, overqualified. They care about your success. The campus is always safe and clean. The campus police are actual police officers, and incredibly helpful. Great campus, quality education.

Go to Virginia Western you will have a blast learning and the Professor are some of the best around an they make learning fun. Once you start college here you will see you made the right choice
Bad reviews
Overall 0.9
This is an absolutely pathetic institution. I have had to change programs three times in six years because the college will not offer the required classes. The blackboard website is down an average of twice a week and no one seems to care or has the ability to answer a simple question. I hate this college. Go elsewhere and save your time and money
Overall 1.2
Every single professor has been rude, inconsistent, and hard to reach.
Overall 1.2
The entire school is disorganized and chaotic, the advisors are often misinformed and totally unhelpful, and their RN program is NOT nationally accredited. It's well worth the time to drive to CVCC for their well laid out campus and organized and helpful staff. Enter VWCC at your own risk.
Overall 1.3
Awful parking. Extremely awful parking. There is a problem when students don't attend class due to parking. If I pay my tuition, I deserve a place to park that is not 10 minutes away from my class. Poor social environment as well. If you like running marathons to class, this is the school for you.
Overall 1.3
Very Bad Parking, feels more like a mental institution the way people walk around. Awful location for a school hovering over a street. Rude staff, rude students. Very poor education status - retaining information through 400 lectures is NOT learning. Good food stands however from Dominos to Subway, not worth going just for the food though.
Overall 1.5
Awful school, professors are held to the bare minimum of teaching expectations, they're wasting money building a sign but can't supply pencil sharpeners on the walls. They added more teacher parking when it was unnecessary, cutting off more student parking. Pathetic institution, needs to be government regulated harder. Poor excuse for college.
Overall 1.5
The parking is awful. They could not have chose a worse place to build a school. I have to run up about 8 flights of stairs to go to class most of the time or return to my car. There's no social interaction whatsoever unless you know people from high school. That is why Virginia Western is known as the High School, after High School.
Overall 1.7
Honestly should have went straight to a 4 year university and takin the debt.
Overall 1.7
You are basically on your own here. "We'll take you there" is bs. You're taking yourself there.
Overall 1.8
Class selection is somewhat limited, especially as you get to the higher levels. Professors are for the most part excellent, but there is the occasional bad egg. Administration does the bare minimum required of them, do not expect them to help you. Go here if you need a cheap degree without the college life.
