I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! GO BODS
Overall 4.8
I started here in 2019... would recommend it. The classes are relatively easy and informative. The reputation is slightly better than KU with one-on-one courses. The professors are very helpful and caring. They promote diversity and enforce anti0-discriminatory action.
Overall 4.7
This school is absolutely beautiful. I am in love with the campus, and everyone is so nice and willing to help out. I've only had bad experiences with a few professors, but the rest have been wonderful, and really do care about your learning. I look forward to class everyday just for the short walk across campus to classes. It truly feels like home

Washburn University provided me with an amazing experience both in and out of the classroom. The faculty/staff truly cared for my well-being and help was always available when needed. I also had an amazing student life experience on campus. Hardly any of my friends who went to other colleges had as great of an experience as I did at Washburn.
Overall 4.6
Washburn is a wonderful school that is proud of its diverse Ichabod family. It is a pleasure to be a part of a beautiful environment.

As a freshman, I remember coming to Washburn and within the first two weeks it had felt like I lived there forever. Most people would say Topeka is not a great area, but I would say they are wrong. While I am not from Topeka, there are so many opportunities to get connections within the communy and on campus. Washburn is the perfect fit.
Overall 4.5
I loved it here!! The campus react us a community and the professors want to see everyone succeed.
Overall 4.5
Washburn is full of growing potential, it has continued to grow in size and in the amount of student appreciation. It is considered to be a uni for mostly law students, but WU has so much more to offer than just law. Clean campus, fairly affordable, and has wonderful professors and faculty. P.S. You do not have to be greek to be active on campus!
Overall 4.4
love Love LOVE my school! Academics are great and the atmosphere is just fantastic!
Overall 4.4
Washburn is a great place if you put yourself out there. I always feel safe, and nothing bad has happened on campus since I have been here. Be apart of a team or club and you'll be just fine. Also the parties are fun!!
Bad reviews
Overall 1.1
It somewhat of a good university stuck in a podunk town filled with poverty, crime, and nothing to do. The only thing that keeps Washburn from being good are the bad professors that stick in the university like a parasite.
Overall 1.3
High crime rates on and off campus. Professors usually teach curriculum for the least motivated and least knowledgeable students. More emphasis on passing class than growth. Some departments have such few classes available it will be IMPOSSIBLE TO GRADUATE in 4 years. Expect a second-rate education at first-rate costs. :(
Overall 1.3
Not much choices for food! Wish there was known company working there rather than a contract workers who work so slow paced! Same disgusting food everyday! Horrible Advisors! Some professors are not helpful at all! They work for the paychecks not cuz they care abt students! Everything is worst experience ever in here!
Overall 1.4
This school is a waste of money. KU and KState are cheaper and offer a true college experience. The professors at WU like to think it is some elite school but it is far from that. Happy to be transferring and saving money.
Overall 1.4
The graduation rate hovers at about 35%. That's pretty appalling, but the focus on campus seems to be on developing sports facilities and acquiring property rather than retaining quality profs. The university also takes an aggressive stance toward public relations and maintains an unhealthy influence over student government and student media.
Overall 1.5
I've had way more bad experiences with this school than good ones. Including, but not limited to, having a man I had a restraining order and title IX order against be allowed to enroll in my classes, refusing to give me a refund when I had to drop a semester 2 weeks in bc my dad almost died, professors not accepting my accommodations, and more :)
Overall 1.5
It was definitely a no-frills university. This school is ideal for people from the surrounding small counties and is used to small-town living. If you experienced big city life and traveled outside the country on vacations, you would slowly find yourself going crazy here.
Overall 1.5
Food is HORRIBLE! I heard they have the same Food for the last three years!! I feel like im eating some stale left overs and service is Rude and Bad!! Why can't they get a company of different food sections rather than 1 company with bunch of same food single day! Ask students for ideas if they dont have any ideas on their mind for better food!
Overall 1.5
Washburn University main campus is okay but Washburn Tech sucks--credits won't even transfer to other nursing schools. Topeka is a conservative, boring town with lots of poverty and inner-city crime.
Overall 1.6
Washburn needs to drop that awful Washburn Tech. It puts a stain on their reputation. Not real professors, authoritarian type leadership, just a terrible and ugly place.
