Came into W&L with high expectations, and yet I was still blown away. Beware of the small town, there is not much to do off-campus if you don't drive an hour away. If you prefer the big-city-feel, don't go here - but there is lots to do on campus. The people who say the food is bad don't look hard enough - there's so many good dining options.

Coming here is the best decision I've ever made!

It is the best college in the US. Our unique and lasting history makes the school so special and important to our country. There are opportunities offered here that you can't get anywhere else. If you don't like the name/history of the school or Lee Chapel "bothers" you, do not come here. Enough people want to come here anyway, we don't need you.

The W&L environment is absolutely amazing. The campus is beautiful, the people are nice, and the professors and faculty are always willing to help students in whatever way they can. The honor system enables students to take tests wherever they want on their honor and makes for a very safe campus. Love this school. There's no other place like it.
Overall 4.9
If you can't tell, I love it here. Over the past year and a half, I've been the happiest I've ever been. This school helps you learn, and, more importantly, grow as a person. Lexington always feels like one of those Hallmark Christmas movies--it's great. I never feel unsafe. I've met my best friends here, and campus is full of opportunities.
Overall 4.9
W&L has so many connections even though it's a small school. The main negative I hear people mention is that it's in a small town with next to nothing in it, but really it has everything you'd need. And I'd take the beautiful mountains and scenery, plus the cute little downtown over city life any day.

I never want to leave.

Rarely does anyone regret going here. Great community, fantastic school.
Overall 4.8
The W&L connections are a real perk of the university. Also, the people are the nicest I have met! A much friendlier vibe than the NESCAC and Ivy schools I visited. This might be the place for me !

Can't find a more special place anywhere
