I love it here!

Financial aid is a joke, worst customer service I have ever dealt with, they could recruit people from Walmart and it would be an improvement. Most of the Professors work hard, some do not. I will be glad to distance myself from this institution ASAP. And hate the forced meal plan the school has made students buy, whether you want it or not.
Overall 1.1
Overall, not a good college experience .

I originally decided on state because of the price. Wanting to go out of state, that was my cheapest option. All of the offices (financial aid!!!) were not helpful. It took me walking to the office everyday for anything to get done. If you're a local and you want to stay in the area, it could be okay, I guess.

West Virginia State University is a tiny school but has teachers that actually care and give you individual attention. If you are concerned about safety, take pepper spray or a taser to school because I barely EVER see any officers on campus especially in the evening. Overall State is a good school but it could definitely use some remodeling.

The teachers are amazing. The staff is mostly kind. The food is edible. The offices are a joke. The safety is non existent. All in all, you get what you pay for.

I am currently studying business management and business economics. When I started at this school I was overwhelmed and scared. Now I am comfortable with this school and have made a successful transition from high school life to college life. This is a great school to go to if you are looking to get a professional education. Not a party school.
