Good reviews
Overall 4.2
Better than most give credit, it's a great atmosphere and it's very honoring to be the largest regional campus of WVU
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
The CS department is in utter shambles. Opportunities are rare and only available for a couple department favorites. You can easily complete the program with above a 3.0. Everything “taught” in CS I could have easily taught myself. The only good thing about the school was the enjoyable professors and material in the math department.
Overall 1.3
For accounting, there is only one good professor. Only good thing about this school is the cheaper tuition.
Overall 1.6
Computer Science and Computer Engineering department is plagued by severe staff shortages and subpar faculty Most faculty members lack industry experience, hindering practical application of concepts While there is one standout professor who brings a glimmer of hope, the department as a whole fails to meet the needs and expectations of its students
Overall 1.6
Tech is not concerned with the quality of your education; Tech is only concerned about making a good name for itself. Commuters are left in cold & desolate areas, and advisors don't understand their job. Students are constantly left out to suffer. The CS department will lie and cheat you without a doubt. This school is insufferable.
Overall 1.7
Abysmal campus. Enough teachers are not interested in teaching that you will recieve maybe half the education you pay for. Tuition is much, much larger than they say (by the thousands). While some staff are great and care about you, and any degree with the WVU name brings respect, WVU Tech sorely underwhelms in every area.
Overall 1.9
If you plan on commuting to Tech, I would recommend you to go somewhere else. They do not care if it is safe to travel, they do not care if you have 4 hours in between your classes, they don't care if you have a parking spot or not, they just don't care about commuters. They expect you to be in your online class while commuting to Tech.
