Good reviews
Overall 5
Graduated with a BA in psychology and a minor in computer science recently and enjoyed my time here. Great food options, very safe campus, a lot of clubs and activities, and a beautiful area. I felt like I got my money's worth too. I've started a graduate degree this month that they have prepared me well for. Professors are awesome.
Overall 4.4
Campus is beautiful. Classes intimate. I have had amazing teachers. Skiing nearby. Love Western.
Overall 4.2
Western is a good school if you like the outdoors. It can get frigid in the winter, but there are so many activities surrounding the campus. Free buses to Crested Butte, Blue Mesa, even just walking around the trails behind campus. The professors are, for the most part, wonderful. The classes are interesting, and the campus itself is pretty cool.
Overall 4.1
Go to Western. You'll make lifelong friends and have the time of your life. I want to be back there.
Overall 4
Absolutely love how the classes are so small!

Gunnison is a strange place - that's all I have to say.

Overall 1.9
This school is not for people who like a challenge, the school will hold the students hand through the education process. The students will come out with almost no preparation for their next step. Don't go here if your a non-trad, it's not set up for them. It's a place for kids that don't want much of challenge, where teachers will talk at them.
Overall 2
This school is great for a very specific type of person, and for everyone else it is either bad or terrible. Take a careful look at yourself and what's important to you before coming here and if you see red flags, go somewhere else. Approach this school with realistic expectations about how you will spend your time and what your everyday needs are.
