Very beautiful school split in the heart of Danbury. The midtown campus is wonderful, has everything one every needs in walking distance from the dorms. Westside (Bestside) is a super chill campus with a “Starbucks”/Café. The music/theatre building is beautiful, the business building is huge, and can be confusing, but it could use work.

Such a good school, I love the environment.

I absolutely love WestConn. When applying to colleges, I overlooked WestConn because it's a "state school," but I couldn't have been more wrong. Helpful professors, welcoming dorm buildings, and an easy place to meet new friends. Coming to WestConn was wholeheartedly the best decision I've ever made.

Spent 4 full years here. MANY professors are very bad. Beautiful school. Midtown campus is wonderful has everything one every needs in walking distance. Westside is a super chill campus with a StarbucksCafé. The business building is huge and can be confusing, but it could use work. Social life needs work, but Molly’s is where everyone is at.

You have to get involved to have a good experience at this school! Join clubs and get a job on campus! I will never forget my time here and what I was able to do, Thanks to the many professors and clubs
Overall 4.2
Great reputation for a small university. Opportunities abound if you reach out. Career counseling center is awesome and many internship oppotunities in CT and NY. Students need to take advantage of the programs to further their experience!

Staff is not that great.

This school has absolutely no regard for anyones concerns. I literally had to drop out of this school because of their lack of productivity as well as their integrity as a whole. Still have yet to receive an email back I sent them weeks ago. Don't waste your time or money and go to NVCC where teachers/faculty actually care about students' future.
Overall 1.2
This school is so bad. Do not even think about going here. They are so money hungry after going into debt and do not care about students well beings. Professors are disengaged. The guidance counselors are uneducated and will screw you over. The campuses are both horrible so is the food. This school has absolutely nothing to offer.
Overall 1.3
I'm a transfer student. I don't even know where to start. The people at registar are lazy I had to do extra work to get my credits counted towards my degree so do not depend on them! Do it yourself. Fight for your credits! They do not want to do the work. They try to get you to stay there longer and professors are horrible. They dont care about you
Overall 1.3
Most of my friends who could leave dipped asap. PAC runs the school (most of them are not nice), greek life appt. hazes like crazy( didn't join because it's so expensive), it's unsafe with little police force and overall students and teachers lack determination. Also, don't go to parties here, they aren't fun or safe.
Overall 1.4
Clubs arent interested in their topics, food is bad, gotta run to the good wifi places mid call so it doesnt cut out, 2 campuses 15 minutes away from each other which is super inconvenient. Professors are bottom tier most of the time.
Overall 1.4
It's been a lonely experience. I don't find the environment warm or welcoming personally, you have to really make so much effort to get a simple conversation going, especially with most (not all) of the professors I've had. It's a shame, because I think this school has potential based on its location. Needs to be more open for non-trad students.
Overall 1.4
I went to westconn for less than a year before I decided to leave. It was the most loneliest time for me as there are not many options for socialization if you are not an athlete and the advisors were absolutely no help to me in achieving my goals. I had a teacher let us out an hour early because she had a headache. Smh
Overall 1.4
Incoming freshman, please, DO NOT DO WHAT I DID. Get straight A's your first year here and transfer out AS SOON AS YOU CAN. I can't change my experience here but I can try to motivate someone else to not make the same mistake I did. I was here for extra years that cost me thousands of dollars because of the incompetence of the registrar & advisors.
Overall 1.4
Faculty do not put the students needs first. Professors who have PHD do not have the skills to properly teach students. Only a small handful of professors who care and go out of his or her way.
Overall 1.5
WCSU is the perfect school to attend if you hate having a social life. The food is terrible, location is awful, and the split campuses make it difficult to get to and from classes. The parties on campus are non existent, professors leave a lot to be desired, and if you don’t play a sport, you will be incredibly bored more than 75% of the time
