I am so happy with my choice of joining the Westfield State community, it's the perfect sized campus and it was so easy making friends. Makes me never want to go home!
Overall 4.7
Westfield was the greatest choice I ever made. If you want to go to a school that's not in the city, this is the perfect state school for you. Plenty of things to do on and around campus and it's small enough that you can connect with your professors on a personal level and run into friends everywhere you go.

The food quality is GREAT, UMass Dining is helping WSU out to get the campus food great! I really enjoy Westfield State University. Professors care, and student population also awesome! Go Owls!
Overall 4.5
I'm a junior right now for my undergrad and I have found my home here. I am a transfer student, I left my old school since I couldn't find a community there, but Westfield has accepted me and I am happy to be an owl. Only bad part about WSU is the housing, they are not responsive and drag their feet on every issue.
Overall 4.5
This school was really great! Only really bad thing was someone wrote a racial slur on a persons of colors dorm door. It was later found out the person of color that lived in that dorm did it to herself for attention. That was a lot of drama for no reason but in fairness I'm not sure how the school could have handled the situation and different.
Overall 4.3
WSU is unique in it's desire to have its students succeed. There is a great support system in place to help with papers or master material with tutors. So many clubs and sports activities and an awesome overall social feel. The dorms have been renovated and some are new and the food is absolutely fantastic.

I love going to WSU. I have definitely found my tribe here. The food is amazing. While the Wifi could be better, it's not the worst that I've ever had. One of my favorite things to do is go swimming in the pool, as it feels amazing. The classes are pretty easy and the people here are nice, for the most part. Once you find your people, it's a blast.
Overall 4.2
I think its a great school and I feel really safe here. The food is great and all of the professors are fantastic, open to change, and very easy to talk to.
Overall 4.2
Would definitely recommend coming here majority of students are nice, easy to make friends, surprised its not advertised as a party school when all anyone ever does is booze and smoke. Off campus parties are fun just hard to come along unless youre a girl or know people but thats every school. Food is not bad at all based of Umass, classes easy.
Overall 4.2
Coming to this school has been the best decision of my life! I wish I got more involved my freshman year and learned about all the opportunities this campus has to offer! Take advantage of all the opportunities Westfield State University has to offer! Amazing college education here!

WSU is everything you don't want in a school. Feels like the registrar try's to be counter productive and is routing against you. Wifi sucks, hardly works. The people are the worst part, very exclusive and small minded. Eat the food, get sick. Want to go to a party? Good luck getting an Uber or enjoy the 2 hour walk downtown.
Overall 1
Westfield State is located in the trashiest part of Massachusetts. Not to mention relying on cellular data for internet access, the food is awful and the people might actually be worse. I seriously do not understand how anybody could possibly like this place. I regret my decision of coming here every time I step foot on campus.
Overall 1
Westfield and surrounding towns/cities are not safe. In my four years, I can count the number of productive, and respectful professors on one hand. The school claims to have 70+ clubs but in reality there's maybe 10. The wifi is extremely spotty. Social life is extremely cliquey, no good bars. The worst part is the constant battle with registrar.

Do yourself a favor, go to college anywhere else. After 4 years here there's nothing good to say.
Overall 1
Anything you see here promoting anything good is a lie written by administration. Do yourself a favor and dont go here. The school is in SEVERE debt and will be belly up soon.
Overall 1.2
Worst school ever. Do not go here. Food sucks, the school itself is so understaffed you'll be waiting 25 minutes for a breakfast sandwich that tastes like cardboard, nobody cares about the students, the professors are awful. The parties are dead and limited to one grade, none of the bars accept fakes. I have nothing good to say about WSU.
Overall 1.5
Westfield State University is an institution with lots of opportunities available for undergraduate students, great professors, and average installations. However, it is not inclusive, unresponsive to student feedback, and marginalizes students in every way possible. Parking, housing, and food prices are ridiculous. Don't live on campus.
Overall 1.7
Very hard to make friends, this school is very cliquey. A lot of people are rude and judge mental. Not a very diverse school. The food sucks. The dorms are very small and the bathrooms are gross, the maintainers do a horrible job cleaning them. I enjoyed some classes but most professors are average. Wouldn't recommend.
Overall 1.8
WSU has the opportunity to be a good school. The housing staff are slow to respond to issues, the food is disgusting ( I worked in the kitchens last year and was told at one point to prepare potatoes that were liquefying and had maggots), and a lot of the administration doesn't care. A good chunk of the professors are amazing people though.
Overall 1.8
do not go here if you want a CIS/CS education. the curriculum is stuck in the 60s with cobol and the classes are a joke
