Beautiful campus!
Overall 4.5
interchangeable for most pnw liberal arts schools except for D3 ultimate frisbee and bouldering bros. good parties if you love to dance and Latin EDM. very VERY laid-back. campus during fall is a natural anti-depressant.
Overall 4.5
The campus is beautiful, especially in the spring. There are many great places to study and hang out. Winter is very dreary and hard. People are very friendly, professors want to help you. Classes are tough, but if you put in the work you'll get a lot out of it. Financial aid is great, but the expensive meal plan is mandatory. Good food though.

Whitman is one of the most amazing colleges in the country. While it is not as well known as its eastern counterparts, the quality of the education and the academic excellence of the institution are far and away the best in the country. I am proud to attend this exceptional school, and I encourage anyone who is thinking of applying to do so!

I think many people that criticize didn't actually research the school. This is a small liberal arts college in a rural town. Greek life doesn't really matter, the parties are good but you're not going to have one every night. But if you want a tight-knit community with excellent academics and some of the kindest people you've ever met, this is it.

Love this place. The location isn't bad. I go to Portland and Seattle every now, and after a fun day or weekend in those places, it feels good to come back to this cozy town I call home.
