Widener has nice renovated buildings and security people are everywhere. There are also LOTS of clubs and organizations, and there's always something to do. The caf has multiple stations featuring various types of foods, and there is always something new, fresh, and interesting. I made some good friends here and am happy with my choice.
Overall 4.6
The smaller class size allows for more personal interaction with one's teacher. While some the Chester neighborHOODs surrounding Widener University's campus are a little scary, Widener's Security staff is extremely organized and provide a beautiful and tremendously well protected Campus bubble, day or night! It is easy to forget you are in Chester!

I was unsure about coming, but very glad I did. I have had great opportunities at this school and have had a lot fo fun. :)

great leadership school
Overall 4.4
Great college for Engineering. All the professors I have had have been very good, I have taken 58 credits so far. The classes are small which is awesome. I was doing very poorly in one class my first Semester. Professor asked to talk to me and they knew I could do better than I was so they helped me solidify how I study and I went from F to B-

Love this school!
Overall 4.3
I love it here, it is a super safe campus and everyone is so welcoming and nice!
Overall 4.1
I was kind of nervous about the location -- being that it is in Chester. However, public safety is very accommodating and I never feel unsafe. The school is small enough to give you that small student to instructor ratio, but big enough for a college experience. I would definitely recommend visiting before accepting. Everyone has different tastes.
Overall 4.1
Use a basic level of caution in Chester and you have nothing to worry about, and honestly, I love it here. Widener has given me everything and I can't say how much I adore it in this short paragraph. Great campus and an up and coming school. To me, those who complain are looking really hard for reasons to complain. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Being so close to philly you can be there in 10 minutes me and my friends went to a lot of Philly sports game and even the Union being 5 minutes away from that stadium.

this school is not worth the money or time go somewhere else

Honestly this is the worst school ever. I transferred out of it after my freshman year and so glad I did. The graduation rate is seriously soooo low and half of my freshman class left for other universities. The teachers are nice and thats about it. the students suck, the food is terrible, Chester is scary. If you spend money going here you are dum
Overall 1.1
Everyday day I wake up I wish I had gone to a different school. I have learned nothing from my time here. The only reason I'm still here is solely because of the connections I have made with other students, not for the academics or career opportunities. Reach higher, go further, run for cover. Don't choose Widener.
Overall 1.3
Don't come here
Overall 1.4
Brutal place to go to school. Unless you're from Delco or Northeast Philly I'd find somewhere else to go to school.
Overall 1.4
its awful
Overall 1.6
One of my biggest regrets is coming to this school. The professors do not care whether you suceed or fail or about your well-being. I am a nursing major and have thought about transferring more times than I can count, but what they dont tell you is that transferring out of widener as a nursing student is next to impossible.
Overall 1.8
Looking back I would not chose this school again unless you're into the high school vibe, but worse. Just don't go here.
Overall 1.8
Widener just fired a big portion of it's security staff due to budget cuts. Also, students have been waking up with cockroaches in their beds and a lot of Freshmen dorms have big cockroach infestations the school doesn't do anything about. Widener is also gutting the music program. Do. Not. Go. Here.
Overall 1.8
This school is mediocre. The admissions staff and tour guides lie to incoming students about the school. Go anywhere but here. A lot of freshmen transfer out. Should have gone to Temple.
