Good reviews
Overall 4.8
Genuine, non-pretentious, applicable, enjoyable education. Lack of improvement lies with indifferent admin. Those there to be "top of class" may need a reality check, but the "here to get law school done en route to bigger and better things" group very much exists in current student body and some (albeit, few select) returning professors alike.
Overall 4.3
This school is great! Dean Smolla has really been doing a great job at retaining knowledgeable professors and building the alumni network. I don't know anyone in my class that has not received an offer of employment that was looking for one. Plus, in two years, the new campus on the waterfront in Wilmington DE is opening, great new opportunity!
Overall 4.1
There are pros and cons. Legal Writing Dept sucks, but most other professors are great and want you to succeed. LOTS of opportunity to get involved. It really is what you make it, regardless of name.
Overall 4.1
This is a great school where the professors have helpful real world experience and are genuinely concerned with your success.
Bad reviews

I am a Widener grad and have been an Attorney for over 10 years. Do yourself a favor and save your money by not attending this law school. The vast majority of Widener grads I know either never got jobs as Attorneys or work in small firms for low pay. The professors don't know anyone to help you get a job. Trying to help. Degree is worthless.
Overall 0.9
Widener is a notorious diploma mill that saddles its graduates with a lot of student loan debt and provides few job opportunities. I think you are actually worse off in life with a degree from this school because it will be unlikely that you will ever get a decent paying job after graduating. Good firms do not hire from fourth-tier law schools.
Overall 0.9
Almost no one will hire you with a Widener law degree. If you can get a job, the firms that will hire you are the small crappy firms paying $35,000. Save your time and money. It does not make sense to invest $100,000 or more in a law school education that gets you a job making $35,000. You can make that kind of money with a high school diploma.
Overall 1
I sent out 3,000 resumes when I graduated and did not get one interview. This school is considered a predatory law school because it charges a lot of money for a degree that has little to no value. The school preys on people from modest to low income backgrounds and sticks them with a ridiculous amount of student loans.
Overall 1
I think Delaware Law School changed its name from Widener University School of Law because the reputation of the school was not good. That is rebranding. I can tell you as a graduate of this school that your income does not go up as a result of graduating from this law school. You make the same money as someone with a high school diploma.
Overall 1
This school has constant turnover with Deans and the professors I had were completely worthless. I wish I could get my money back, but I got stuck with student loans for 30 years. I was paid around $35,000 by a law firm when I graduated from this law school. Ridiculous.
Overall 1
Offered a free ride but had to pass it up given the employment outcomes of students whove graduated from here. Looking at the stats, people with a GED make the equivalent of a Widener Law graduate. Use common sense before you make a decision to attend. Not worth the time or money from people Ive spoken to in the Delaware area.
Overall 1
I graduated from this law school about 20 years ago and it was the biggest mistake. I am stuck with student loan debt and I have never had a career. Most of the women I know who graduated from this law school became stay at home moms because they could not get a job. I will have done my job if I save one person from attending this school. AVOID!
Overall 1
Graduated from Widener 4 years ago. Your employment opportunities will be severely limited if you graduate from this school, even if you graduate in the top of your class. I would recommend taking the LSAT again. The school does not have a good reputation in the Delaware area despite what the administration may tell you.
Overall 1.3
Wasted 3 years of my life. Do you research before attending Widener...
