What motivates you to better understand Indigenous perspectives? In what ways do you or can you engage with the Aboriginal Country that you live and/or work?

Understanding Indigenous Perspectives: What motivates me to better understand Indigenous perspectives is the desire to broaden my knowledge and understanding of the world. Indigenous perspectives offer unique insights into the relationship between humans and the natural world, community living, spirituality, and much more. They also provide a different lens through which to view history and current societal structures. By understanding these perspectives, I can become more empathetic, open-minded, and informed.

Engaging with the Aboriginal Country: Currently, I engage with the Aboriginal Country I live and work in by educating myself about its history, culture, and people. I read books, watch documentaries, and attend local events and workshops. I also make an effort to support Indigenous businesses and artists. In the future, I can further engage by participating in cultural exchanges, volunteering for causes that support Indigenous communities, and advocating for Indigenous rights and representation.
