Check the patient's comfort: Make sure the patient is comfortable before you leave. This could include checking their position, ensuring they have everything they need within reach, and that the room temperature is comfortable.

Inform about the next steps: Let the patient know when you will be back to check on them, or when they can expect to see the doctor.

Say goodbye: Always say goodbye before leaving the room. This is a simple courtesy that can make the patient feel respected and valued.
