Solution

a) Node: In an electrical circuit, a node is a point where two or more components are connected. It is a junction point in a circuit. In a circuit diagram, it is represented as a dot.

b) Path and Branch: A path in an electrical circuit is the route along which an electric current can flow. It is a line drawn from one node to another without retracing any segment of the line. A branch, on the other hand, is a part of a network which is connected between two nodes. It can be a single element such as a voltage source or a resistor.

c) Loop and Mesh: A loop in an electrical circuit is any closed path in a circuit. A loop is formed when two nodes are connected together by more than one path. A mesh is a loop that does not contain any other loops within it.

d) Planar circuit: A planar circuit is a circuit that can be drawn on a plane surface without any of the branches crossing each other.

e) Super node: A super node occurs when a voltage source is connected between two nodes in a circuit. The entire voltage source along with the nodes it is connected to can be considered as a single super node.

f) Super mesh: A super mesh occurs when two meshes share a current source. In this case, the two meshes are combined to form a super mesh. The current source is ignored for the purpose of writing mesh equations and is considered separately.
