Solution

In Geometry, there are several terms that we have learned. Here are some of them:

  1. Point: A point in geometry is a location. It has no size i.e. no width, no length and no depth.

  2. Line: A line is a straight one-dimensional figure having no thickness and extending infinitely in both directions.

  3. Plane: A plane is a flat, two-dimensional surface that extends infinitely far.

  4. Angle: An angle is the figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of the angle.

  5. Circle: A circle is a shape with all points the same distance from its center.

  6. Triangle: A triangle is a polygon with three edges and three vertices.

  7. Quadrilateral: A quadrilateral is a polygon with four edges (sides) and four vertices (corners).

  8. Polygon: A polygon is a plane figure that is described by a finite number of straight line segments connected to form a closed polygonal chain or polygonal circuit.

  9. Perimeter: The perimeter is the distance around a two-dimensional shape.

  10. Area: The area is the quantity that expresses the extent of a two-dimensional figure or shape, or planar lamina, in the plane.

  11. Volume: Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space enclosed by a closed surface, for example, the space that a substance (solid, liquid, gas, or plasma) or shape occupies or contains.

  12. Radius: The radius of a circle is the distance from the center of the circle to any point on its circumference.

  13. Diameter: The diameter of a circle is the longest distance from one end of the circle to the other.

  14. Chord: A chord of a circle is a straight line segment whose endpoints both lie on the circle.

  15. Tangent: A tangent line to a circle is a line that touches the circle at exactly one point.

These are just a few of the many terms used in geometry.
