b) Chemical Pesticides: Advantage: The primary advantage of chemical pesticides is that they can effectively control pests, diseases, and weeds that can damage crops. This can lead to increased crop yields and productivity. Disadvantage: However, a major disadvantage of chemical pesticides is their potential impact on the environment. They can contaminate soil, water, and air, and can harm non-target organisms, including beneficial insects, birds, and mammals. Overuse of pesticides can also lead to pest resistance.
