The Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 applies to both the organized and unorganized sectors in India. It covers all women, irrespective of their age or employment status, and protects them against sexual harassment at all workplaces both in public and private sector, whether organized or unorganized. It includes every department, organization, undertaking, establishment, enterprise, institution, office, branch or unit which is established, owned, controlled or wholly or partly financed by funds provided directly or indirectly by the appropriate Government, local authority, corporation or co-operative society. It also includes Non-Government organizations.
