The person was my close friend, John. We had been friends since high school and had gone through college together. He was preparing for his first job interview after graduation.

He was particularly worried about the technical questions that might come up during the interview, as the job was in the field of software development, which was his major in college.

I helped John in several ways. First, I shared my own experiences and gave him a general idea of what to expect in a job interview. We discussed common interview questions and how to answer them effectively. I also helped him understand the importance of researching the company before the interview. In terms of the technical aspect, we spent several days reviewing the key concepts and skills in software development. I set up mock interviews to help him get a feel for the real interview. By the time of his interview, John was much more confident and well-prepared. He ended up getting the job, and he was very grateful for my help.
