Use a slicer to filter the data in this table to show only rows where the Category value is Coffee or Meals.
Question
Use a slicer to filter the data in this table to show only rows where the Category value is Coffee or Meals.
Solution
-
First, select any cell within the table you want to filter.
-
Go to the "Insert" tab on the Ribbon, then click on "Slicer" in the Filters group.
-
In the "Insert Slicers" dialog box, check the box for "Category" and then click "OK".
-
A slicer will appear on your worksheet. It will list all the unique values in the Category column of your table.
-
In the slicer, click on "Coffee". Hold down the Ctrl key and click on "Meals". This will select both values.
-
The table will now only display rows where the Category is either "Coffee" or "Meals".
Remember, you can clear the slicer at any time by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of the slicer. This will show all data in the table again.
