Solution

The current flow in diodes is Uni-directional. Diodes are electronic components that allow current to flow in one direction only. This is due to the way they are constructed, with a P-type semiconductor (which has a surplus of holes, or positive charge carriers) and an N-type semiconductor (which has a surplus of electrons, or negative charge carriers). When a voltage is applied to the diode in the correct direction (positive to the P-type side and negative to the N-type side), current can flow. But if the voltage is applied in the opposite direction, the diode blocks the current. This is why we say that diodes have a uni-directional current flow.
